Since Shawomet Realty Company's inception 1995, Mary B. Shekarchi has been and remains the Principal Broker. Mary brings a unique perspective to her realty clients in that she is also a Rhode Island real estate attorney whose law practice is concentrated in land use issues. As a former Legal Counsel to the RI Department of Environmental Management and as the author of the artical RIDEM Permitting: The Easy Way (ISDS and Freshwater Wetlands), she provides invaluable insight to her realty clients, especially those involved in new construction.

     As the Principal Broker, Mary oversees all of the Shawomet Realty Company's transactions and participates in representing her own realty clients. In the first 3 quarters of 2004, Mary herself, has closed approximately $2,750,000.00 in sales and has approximately $1,325,000.00 in pending sales for the 4th quater of 2004.
